A New Year Sees the Launch of Get Discount Shopping
Firstly, Happy New Year for 2009 and welcome to getDiscountShopping.co.uk, a new website aimed at promoting the latest discount shopping voucher codes and special offers for many of the UK’s leading retailers and online websites.
As always I see the beginning of a new year as an new opportunity to review my previous years acheivements and to plan for the coming year with a new set of goals. This year is no exception. As the latter part of 2008 seemed to be short on the good news front with media reports continually boasting of the impending recession, of the global credit crunch, of the decline in the UK business output, the rapid increases in the number of UK businesses going bust, the ever rising unemployment rates and the fact that the UK retail industry saw the worse pre-christmas run up which had been seen for many years. In short the publicised outlook doesn’t look good.
This economic downturn will certainly see a change in the shopping habits of the man in the street. Aas money belts begin to tightened so will peoples attitudes towards how they go about shopping and spending their hard earned cash. Unlike any recession seen before, this one will see the internet play a major role in the marketing plans of businesses as well as offering the consumer the ability to shop around in order to find the best bargins, the hottest deals and biggest special offers.
From this view of how the recession will effect the shopping habits of the consumer I saw the opportunity to develop a discount shopping website that would provide a central location for online shoppers to search for those elusive special offers and discount voucher codes which would help save them money. It was from this idea that getDiscountShopping.co.uk was born.
